My Little Quirk*

David Trumbull

July 15, 2004
I wait and watch for you when you leave work.
And at your homestead too I'm known to lurk.
I stalk you and I hide. You think I'm a jerk.
Unwanted late-night calls, finding your name on walls -- How it must irk!

And when you seek slumber, I'm still menacing.
And I block my number, When I ring.
Driving past your house at night, I give an awful fright--
I merely smirk. Just say that you're my little quirk.
* To the tune of "How About You" (music by Burton Lane; words by Ralph Freed)
